Eoin is a founding partner of HLB McKeogh Gallagher Ryan. He specialises in the areas of business advisory and recovery, including insolvency.
Eoin is an Associate of both Chartered Accountants Ireland and the Irish Taxation Institute. He also holds a Bachelor of Business Studies Degree from the University of Limerick.
Eoin is “Big 4” trained, having commenced his professional employment with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC).
Eoin joined Horwath Bastow Charleton Limerick (HBCL) in 2005 and latterly BDO. Eoin was engaged in the areas of corporate finance, corporate recovery and insolvency. In 2010 Eoin established HBCL’s Rescue and Insolvency team based in Dublin, while continuing to have a team of professionals engaged in corporate finance and recovery in HBCL’s Limerick office.
Eoin has regularly been appointed receiver, and receiver / manager, by most of the leading financial institutions in Ireland and NAMA. Eoin has been receiver in both trading and non-trading situations. He has also been appointed liquidator to a significant number of companies across a variety of sectors. Eoin is a recognised nominee of the Revenue Commissioners for the position of liquidator.
Eoin continues to be engaged by stakeholders to advise on insolvency and enforcement strategies.
As well as his insolvency experience Eoin has regularly provided corporate finance and related advisory services to clients. This work has seen him advise in areas such as mergers and acquisitions, valuations, corporate restructuring, debt restructuring, fundraising, business planning etc. Eoin has also carried out numerous due diligence assignments, business reviews and forensic investigations.
Eoin has advised businesses and operators in a range of sectors including healthcare, nursing homes, retail, professional services, manufacturing, hospitality, energy, internet and waste services.
Eoin was previously a committee member of the Mid West Society of Chartered Accountants Ireland and is an active member of the Irish Society of Insolvency Practitioners. Eoin is a member of the Limerick Chamber Board of Directors.
Eoin is an exam prize winner with the Irish Taxation Institute. He has regularly lectured to professional bodies in the area of insolvency and has been a guest lecturer to masters students in the area of corporate finance. He has also contributed expert articles and commentary to technical and national publications.Download vCard
